Heist invites women around the world to help create a more inclusive nude palette and encourage diversity in the fashion industry.
Heist Studios – the London-based body wear brand – is launching the #mynude campaign to develop a range of nude tights that reflect the diversity of women’s skintones.
The company will also make its palette available to other brands in the fashion industry.
While today, cosmetic brands offer more than forty shades of foundation, there are at most seven shades of so-called nude for clothing worn next to the skin. With such a limited range of nude tones available, we end up with hosiery that doesn’t match our legs. The result? Women shy away from wearing nude tights.
To change this, Heist will create an inclusive range of nude tights, available for purchase in Spring 2018. And to make it happen, women around the world are invited to submit their own ‘nude’ skin tones via the Nude Project website. Heist will use the submissions to help decide the range of colour tones required to give everyone the option of #mynude.
The bodywear brand will also make their nude palette available to the whole garments industry to encourage other brands to open up their product ranges and more accurately reflect the skin tones of women around the world.
